As a DC Associate, you will contribute to the distribution of product from Columbia Sportswear Company’s Distribution Center by ensuring our product is received, labeled, inventoried and shipped according to customer expectations and demands.
Your duties will vary as you may move between the DC departments as the work requires. In general, your duties could include:
receiving and shipment of products to customers
proper placement of cartons in correct storage locations
pulling assigned cartons and placing on correct conveyer and sorting mechanisms
making labels and attaching to goods
loading and picking appropriate boxes
packing and unpacking goods
verifying accuracy of packing, sealing cartons, and loading cartons on trailers for shipment
operating a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products
operating computerized inventory control systems.
operating manual or automated material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or order pickers (in some positions).
DC Associates must maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff, and other departments to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization. They must also maintain accuracy and attention to detail while using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accountability for all units.
The candidate should possess the ability to perform physically demanding work, including: standing for extended periods of time; repetitive arm/shoulder movements; repetitive lifting/carrying of up to 40 pounds for the duration of their shift; crouching, bending, and twisting. The candidate should also possess basic computer skills or can be trained on the computer.
The successful candidate must be energetic, reliable, a self-motivated team player and demonstrate exemplary attendance. Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to deal with constant change are also essential.
This is a temporary contract position that runs from now until December (approximate end date). Please note, we are not currently hiring students returning to school in September.
The shift is Monday to Friday, 4pm-12:30am, with an hourly wage of $18/hour.

Inventory Specialist - Whitehorse, YT - $28+/hour As an Inventory Specialist for our store, you will be responsible for the accurate delivery of all goods to customers in the region, keeping inventory and shop in order and adhering to Kal Tire’s work and safety standards. A key part of this role is setting the standard for service excellence within the industry and demonstrating the Kal Tire AIMS. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Service Excellence
Perform all aspects of shop work.
Perform appropriate maintenance of tools and equipment.
Demonstrate and promote best practices to the customer.
