TITLE OF POSITION: Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper 

JOB DUTIES: 

• Prepare, heat and finish cooking simple food items' 

• Take customers' orders 

• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs 

• Portion and wrap foods 

• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables 

• Stock refrigerators and salad bars 

• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs 

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables 

• Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and in serving areas 

• Wash and peel vegetables and fruit 

• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment 

• Remove kitchen garbage and trash 

• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas 

• Sweep, wash, mop and polish floors 

• Place dishes in storage area 

• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand 

• Scour pots and pans 

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units 

• Load bus pans and trays 

• Keep records of the quantities of food used 

• Handle and store cleaning products

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Permanent, Full time 

LANGUAGE OF WORK: English 

WAGE: $15.50-$17.00 CAD per hour 

HOURS: 30-44 hours per week; Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Night, Morning
