Carpenter

Arona Framing & Construction Inc. located at Unit 102 7500 120 Street Surrey, BC, V3W 3N1 is currently hiring 2 full time permanent Carpenters to join their team as soon as possible.

Position Available: 2
Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent
Wage: $28.00 per hour, for 35 hours per week
Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
Location: Unit 102 7500 120 Street Surrey, BC, V3W 3N1
Work location Information: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland depending upon company contracts.

Job Duties:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures.

Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school
Work Experience: 3 – 4 year apprenticeship program or 1-2 years of work experience as a Carpenter or Helper
Language: English is required
Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling
Personal Suitability: Judgement, Team Player, Reliability
